My Visit To Dwarikas Resort Dhulikhel Nepal

Dwarikas Resort Nepal is a resort I’ll keep returning too. The place is strikingly beautiful, which overlooks the town of Dhulikhel. It is renowned as Nepal’s top resort and promotes the countries Newari heritage. Dwarikas is finely exhibited down to every intricate detail showcasing local artists woodwork.

My visit to Dwarikas Resort Dhulikhel Nepal started when I left behind the hectic city of Kathmandu. There awaiting was my private driver to transport me to Dhulikhel. Already travelled many countries, I was doubtful about the hype that it was Nepal’s most lavish resort. However, I opted to keep an open mind.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by security at a building with high rise gates. After ten minutes, they transported me to the reception on a golf cart. There opened the gates, it was like a scene from Jurassic Park, opening into, what seemed to me (a foreigner) like a jungle.

Upon entering I was welcomed by staff who supplied me with an itinerary. These ranged from an ayurvedic doctor consultation, chakra mediation, pottery class, farm class, singing bowl meditation and an evening movie. Additional services such as a spa and helicopter ride were also available on a paid basis.

Next, I was provided with a map of the resort. My, it was literally like entering a theme park. I had never been to a resort complex so big within Asia!

The Room

After climbing a vast number of steps I reached my suite. Entering the room, my attention was immediately draw to the window. It had the width of the whole room flaunting a spectacular view overlooking the mountains. Awaiting, was a complimentary bottle of wine on the diwan, a giant double bed, television and rugs. As well as a full set of nuts, cookies, fruit basket and a vast range of herbal teas for my disposal.

The resort also provided me with matching scarves combined with a memo signifying the colour to the five elements. I later discovered, all staff around the resort were wearing the same scarf. Which, depending on the day, the colour changed. I sensed it was a tailored experience.

The bathroom floor consisted of pebbles with stone steps and a prominent marble bath providing an earthly feel. There were two golden sinks, a giant wooden mirror, shower and a toilet. I was provided with a complimentary treasure chest of goodies ranging from sunscreen, razors, floss, wet wipes and lots of Pancha kosha toiletries. It was like having a spa within my suite.

I compliment all of the staff at Dwarika’s as they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. As well as heavily depending on my feedback to improve the service. Each member of staff knew who I was and greeted me with the biggest radiant smile I’ve ever witnessed. It was not the typical customer service smile either, all workers were sincere. Not only does the resort take great care of its guests they also look after their workers. Which, I find truly remarkable.

Facilities I experienced

I still haven’t experienced everything Dwarika’s has to offer. However, I have experienced their spa which I highly recommend as it has an Ayurvedic focus. Their Himalayan salt house, crystal room, pottery class, chakra chambers and their breath-taking view point. The whole weekend I was at one with my spiritual self.

I don’t want to go into depth too much about the experience of Dwarika’s in this post as I believe it is something you should witness for yourself. Personally, I am not a fan of spoilers and don’t think if I read a lot prior that my experience would have been as authentic.

All I can say is that, this has really set the bar for the resort world and it is definitely worth the hype. An ultimate luxurious peace-filled destination I discovered on my visit To Dwarikas Resort Dhulikhel Nepal. Would you visit a resort like this? Let me know in the comments below.
