Located in the heart of Thamel, this open space embodies conscious living. HUB serves an environment with a tour agency Social tours and an organic coffee boutique, Kar.ma coffee. HUB has a sustainable focus, and most of its furniture is upcycled. Likewise, the coffee from Kar.ma is so tasty and produced from no electrical equipment. If you want a coffee, it’s pay what you feel too!

What I like about it, is that it’s open seven days a week 8:00 am – 8:00 pm You can work on a table high or low, stools, chairs, sofa and many more. At HUB there is a range of furniture to what suits your needs, and the Kar.maCOFFEE outlet serves excellent coffee and food for an affordable price. Finally, excellent and fast wifi. Baluwatar Cafe Soma is open every day 8:00 am-8:00 pm whereas the one in Jamsikhel is open 7:00 am-8:00 pm. While both serve the same menu, the one in Baluwatar has a larger workspace. While there are many Himalayan Java’s in Kathmandu, a particular favourite of mine is the one in Lazimpat. This is just off the main road and not as busy as the likes of the ones in Thamel or Jamsikhel. The environment is modern and probably the closest Nepalese equivalent of Starbucks. Himalayan Java Lazimpat has a variety of coffees and snacks such as paninis, salads, bagels, pastries and desserts.
