Pokhara is a tranquil and cleanly destination to visit if you’re travelling in Nepal. It’s only a seven-hour bus journey or a 30-minute flight. I love to spend my downtime there and get a break from the hectic capital. The lakeside in Pokhara is the happening area to spend time in, whether you live there or just visiting. It’s filled with plenty of bars and restaurants to utilise your think time with during the day or night. If you’re visiting for the first time or live there, you may become swamped by the amount of choice! Don’t worry, for all of you digital nomads in Pokhara; I have comprised a list for the top 10 cafes! Therefore, here is my list in no particular order:
1.The Juicery Cafe
Every time I visit Pokhara, I come to The Juicery. It’s right on the lakeside with exceptional views. Recently there has been another chain opened in the lakeside centre building, however, I’m talking about the one further up. What I love about The Juicery the most, is the laid back ambience and sitting on a cushion working in the mellow atmosphere. It’s an incredibly laid back place popular with locals and tourists.
The food they serve is vegan and vegetarian, with some epic brunch options. Likewise, great coffee! As its mainly outside, I’d recommend visiting this place with a charged laptop! However, their new site may have sockets for your gadgets. Alongside myself, I witnessed many people kick back for hours here with a book or their laptop. The staff are welcoming and one of my favourite places in Pokhara. Check it out; The Juicery is open seven days 7:00 AM-7:00 PM.
2. French Creperie Pokhara
French Creperie is an excellent place for Digital Nomads in Pokhara. It has ample space upstairs to work from. You can choose whether to sit on the roadside or the side facing the lake. In comparison to other places, this does not have much of a view. However, French Creperie in Pokhara offers a range of tasty crepes alongside other food. As well as a nice coffee! The interior downstairs is a calming blue and upstairs has a variety of designs. You can work from a bench or sit on the floor on top of a cushion. There are lots of sockets to hook up your gadgets. The owner Hari is incredibly accomodating and spent many years living in France. It’s open every day from 8:00 AM-11:00 PM.
3. Ayurvedico Cafe
Ayuervedico Cafe is a cool and minimalistic cafe serving up delicious and healthy food! They charge reasonable prices for their food/drinks too. If you’re a vegan or don’t like milk, they serve almond and cashew milk also. They consider all dietary health options and have multiple posters up about food education. The seats are comfy, with good sofa padding on them and there are numerous ports to work from anywhere in the cafe. They are open every day from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.

4. Deja vu
Ran by the original owner of Moondance cafe, Linda runs Deja Vu on the “hippy end” of the lakeside. Don’t let its location fool you; this place is a charm. Whether you’re sipping, snacking or dining there it’s a hidden gem. Look out for a small sign saying Deja vu and once found you’ll come to the delightful space. You can choose to sit and work from comfy sofas or wooden chairs overlooking Phewa Lake.
The owner, Linda, has lived in Nepal for many years and other areas around the globe. Which reflects in her menu! There’s French cuisine as well as many other continental dishes. When I was here last, I loved working here sipping on a latte with a brownie watching the sunset over the lake. Similar to The Juicery, this place has little sockets so if you’re going to work from here, make sure your gadgets are fully charged.
Of course, I had to mention OR2K! In Kathmandu alone, it’s a credible place for digital nomads to work from. However, I adore their space in Pokhara even more. OR2K Pokhara is located in centre point complex right at the very top! They have exquisite views of Phewa Lake and a chilled atmosphere. Remove your shoes and enjoy their cosy floor seating with cushions all around the place.
Or, if you’re an outdoors person, sit on their balcony overlooking the lake. It’s a vegetarian cafe with vegan options also to snack on while doing your work. Whatever time of year you’re visiting Pokhara, this is a place to work from during all seasons. Come check it out; it’s open every day 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.
6. AM/PM Organic Cafe
Another fantastic place for Digital Nomads in Pokhara to work from. AM/PM uses organic ingredients in their food from their garden or an organic farm when possible. Likewise, no chemicals or preservatives on their products. They sell tasty coffee and juices to have alongside your work. AM/PM Organic Cafe is open every day from 6:00 AM-10:00 PM. For you early morning risers it’s a great place to work from.
7. Rosemary Kitchen
Initially set up in Kathmandu, Rosemary Kitchen expanded to Pokhara. It’s a bit on the pricier side; however, nevertheless a great place to work from. It’s mainly best to work in the morning/day time as the evenings get busy and crowded. There are lots of charging ports and are open every day from 7:00 AM-10:00 PM.
8. Little Windows
Another vegetarian and vegan hotspot to work from! Little Windows has a similar minimalistic vibe like Ayurvedico cafe. It’s a hip and happening place to work during the day. Little Windows is opposite Saleways and central to what’s going on by the lakeside. Their dining area is open-aired and an all-around fantastic place. They’re open every day from 7:00 AM-10:30 PM.
9. Evoke Pokhara
Again another great destination with outlets in Kathmandu. Evoke Pokhara is a place to get lost in your work in. Especially during the day time, before it comes a bit busier in the evenings. They certainly know a thing or two about food as well as beverages. Evoke Pokhara is open every day; however, check their social media pages for timings they open as they differ.
10. Himalayan Java Pokhara
For me, Himalayan Java never disappoints. Many of the times I work from Himalayan Java Pokhara as they make a good coffee. I’m talking about the one in centre point complex. Likewise, perfect snack type food, if you don’t want to indulge in a full lunch. They have fast wifi and comfortable seating where you can sit inside or outside looking onto the beautiful lake.
