How To Get A Student Visa Nepal 2020

Finding that you’re remaining time left on your tourist visa in Nepal is running out quickly and coming to an end? Do you want to extend your time in Nepal? Well, you can do this by obtaining a student visa. However, you are not allowed to work while on a student visa. To obtain a student visa, you must know what campuses you can get your visa from. Here is How To Get A Student Visa Nepal 2020:

  1. Bishwo Basa Campus Of International Languages
  2. Kathmandu University Centre Of Art and Design

Bishwo Basa Campus 

In order to get a study visa, you have to apply to study Nepali at Bishwo Basa Campus. It’s based in Pradarshani Marg. There are two semesters than run one which runs from July -May (following year) and February-December. 

Classes at Bishwo Basa operate Monday-Friday and are 2 hours each day. According to their website, they operate anytime between 10:30 am -2:30 pm. They also note that students should attend 70% of the classes. Otherwise, they are at risk of losing their visa.

It costs $500 per semester with an application fee of $5 paid directly into the schools Nabil bank account. Also, you must have the following: 

  • A bank statement proving you have $1500 to support yourself while being a student. This has to be a statement from a Nepalese bank. Bishwo Basa also notes if you have two dependent family members, then a further $1000 for each member will need to be proven.
  • A no objection letter from your embassy. 
  • Likewise, per late admission to the course, it’s $100 extra each month.
