Astrek Park
Astrek Park is the newest and hippest climbing wall in town located in Thamel. It is also the tallest climbing wall in Nepal! It stands at a whopping 50metres high. Similarly, there are twenty types of climbing routes to choose from. More to the point, it’s a great place to socialise as they have a bar and food place too. Plus they provide free wifi if you want to work from there also. They are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Cost:
- Sunday- Friday 8 am-4 pm: 350 NPR
- Sunday- Friday 4 pm-8 pm: 450 NPR
- Saturday 8 am-8 pm: 450 NPR

- Shoe Rental: 150 NPR

Kathmandu Climbing Centre (KCC)
Kathmandu Climbing Centre (KCC)
A part indoor and part outside climbing wall. It focuses on three different types of climbing: lead climbing, bouldering and speed climbing/top rope wall. Their walls are built for those different disciplines. Like Astrek Park, KCC caters to many types of climbers from beginner to expert. External to this, they also offer yoga workshops which go hand in hand with the climbing experience. If you’re the kind of competitive person, then they also host climbing competitions! Pasang Lhamu Sports Climbing Centre
Pasang Lhamu Sports Climbing Centre is a rock climbing centre named after the very first woman to climb Everest. It is managed by Himalayan Mountaineering school. According to their facebook, they are open between 8:00 am- 7:00 pm. However regards the costs, equipment rentals and anything else we advise you to give the centre a call.
